ORLANDO, Fla. -- The summer heat is going to be especially difficult for some Orlando homeowners who lost their air conditioning. Copper thieves struck an Orlando condominium complex, damaging units for at least a dozen homes. With repairs priced at more than $1,000 per unit, Robert Wilson and his wife say they won't be able to afford a new system."Hot, extremely hot," said Wilson. "It's uncomfortable, to say they least."Residents believe the thieves got access to the roof in the middle of the day through a hatch in the hallway without anyone getting suspicious. Many residents now want security measures put in place to limit access to the roof.
