Man Buys Change Of Clothes Before Trying To Rob Pharmacy

Monday, June 9, 2008

A man tried to rob a grocery store pharmacy in Holly Hill late Monday morning. It happened at the Winn-Dixie on Nova Road (see map).

Police said a man demanded Oxycontin from the pharmacy and told the clerk he would shoot her if she didn't hurry, but the store manager chased the man from the store.

Police quickly surrounded the store, but couldn't find the would-be robber. Police said minutes before the robbery attempt the same man was seen at the Salvation Army buying a change of clothes.
