City Of Orlando To Move Forward With Red Light Camera Plans

Posted: 11:21 am EDT June 19, 2008

The city of Orlando says it will move forward with its plans to install cameras to catch red-light runners. The city council is expected to approve $270,000 for the project when they meet next week.

Violators will be fined and get their tickets in the mail. No driver license points will be assessed.

So far, the city has not revealed which intersections will get the cameras. The cameras could be in place by September.
