ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. -- Two businesses were robbed within minutes of each other in Orange County and investigators say it could have been the same man who carried out both crimes. The first business robbed was an Arby's restaurant on Lee Road. Detectives said there were several reasons for them to suspect that the two robberies were related.Investigators in Orange County were checking to see if the man who robbed the Arby's was the same person that robbed a convenience store 10 minutes later just two miles away near the corner of Edgewater Drive and All American."He could have easily run this way and could've gotten in here and committed this crime as well. It's very possible," said Det. John Dantes of the Orange County Sheriff's Office.Eyewitnesses in both incidents described the robber as a man dressed in all black with a bandana or t-shirt wrapped around his face to conceal his identity. They also described a similar weapon used in both robberies. No injuries were reported in either case. The sheriff's office said they have a few solid leads that they will follow up on Thursday."He was probably a local guy. He knew his way around the area, he was on foot. There was no indication of any vehicles involved," added Dantes.Detectives will have to solve the crimes without the aid of surveillance video. One of the businesses did not have any cameras while the other business does have cameras, but they are not working.
