OCALA, Fla. -- A Marion County teacher's aide arrested for allegedly helping two teenage brothers, ages 15 and 17, run away from home was behind bars Wednesday. He's also charged with sex with a minor.

Richard Carlsen, 36, was arrested Tuesday after investigators found out he helped the boys run away on Monday. Detectives say Carlsen admitted to giving sexual favors to the 17-year-old boy.

According to deputies, Carlsen was reportedly a private mentor for the two brothers for the past six years and their mother had grown suspicious of Carlsen's relationship with them after he took them on several out-of-town trips and began giving them gifts.

School district officials said Carlsen will probably be fired because of the charges against him. He is employed at Howard Middle School in Ocala.
