ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. -- It was a busy Sunday morning for police in two central Florida cities as armed robbers victimized employees at two fast food establishments. The first robbery occurred around 1:40am at a Wendy's on 441 in Apopka. A police spokesman said that two men shot out a window and climbed through. They forced the two employees into the back of the restaurant at gunpoint, and confronted the manager in his office where they forced him to open up the safe. After taking money from the safe and the cash drawers, the robbers left. One man apparently cut himself on the broken glass and left a trail of blood inside the building. Although the drive-through window was still open, the dining room was closed when the robbery occurred.Later in the morning, around 9:15, a lone gunman ambushed an employee at an Arby's on South Orange Avenue in Orlando as he was taking out the garbage. The robber forced the employee back inside and robbed the store of an undetermined amount of cash. The restaurant was closed at the time.No employees were hurt in either robbery and suspects in both incidents were still at large Sunday afternoon.
