Eyewitnesses say the driver of the red car hit a round-a-bout before crashing on Amelia Street early Sunday morning. The passenger side of the car was smashed in.Neighbors saw sparks fly from the power pole and rushed to save the driver."We just brought him as far as we could because we thought the car was going to explode," said Ches McLeggan, an eyewitness.Eyewitnesses said a man in a black tank top was the only person in the car, but he denied driving when he spoke to police. He suffered a few broken ribs. He's only being charged with driving without a valid license, but an investigation is ongoing.
