SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. -- Parents and children surfing a Seminole County elementary school's web site have been finding an unpleasant surprise, a link to pornography. The link was found in the business links section of Partin Elementary School's web site and the school didn't take it down until Channel 9 told them about it.The web site the school was linking to is not what you'd expect to find associated with an elementary school, but it's what a parent found Thursday night while she was searching Partin Elementary School's web site with her 9-year-old daughter. She didn't want to be identified."I was speechless. I was absolutely horrified and so was my daughter. She said, 'Mom!'" the woman told Eyewitness News. She was looking at links for the school's business partners, businesses that help the school by donating volunteer time or money. But when the parent clicked on the link for Lasting Image Studios, she found scantily clad women instead at Lasting Images."If she kept clicking, I can only imagine what we would have seen and read," the parent said.Eyewitness News knocked at the door of Lasting Image Studios, where they convert home videos to DVF. The school's business partner has nothing to do with porn, but the school's mistaken web link sure made parents wonder."You think your kids would be safe on their elementary school's web site and then something like this happens. You just can't be too careful," the parent told Eyewitness News. The section of the school's web site is now inactive and the district said it will remain that way for the rest of the weekend while they work to fix the problem. Before the district took the website down, it said it was last updated in June.
