A 22-year-old man tried to run from police with his infant son in the backseat. Longwood police tried to stop Danny Prowell on SR-434 early Tuesady morning, but he took off.

A short time later, Winter Springs Police spotted Prowell near Tuscawilla Road where he attempted to hit an officer's cruiser to get away.

The suspect eventually bailed from the car with his son in his arms, but police caught him. Investigators said there were drugs found in the car.

According to police, the baby was unharmed and was handed over to his mother.
