TITUSVILLE, Fla. -- John Sauve said he was fed up with his neighbors on Nottingham Street off of SR-407. He says they snitched on him to code enforcement.Neighbors called his home an "eye sore" and and an "Easter egg." Sauve's home is kiwi green, lavender and aqua blue with bright yellow accents."I'm going for the Key West look," Sauve said.He told Channel 9 the paint job, what he called "war paint," was his way of fighting back against a handful of neighbors who kept reporting him to code enforcement. The city has cited him for his steel carport, the pool in the backyard and the gravel driveway he installed without a permit. The color of Sauve's house was something he and his wife Bridget believe neither their neighbors nor code enforcement can control. "I live in this neighborhood and I have neighbors, but they aren't very neighborly," said Bridget Sauve. Some residents think the real estate revenge has gone too far."Would you buy a house painted this color? Would you buy the house next door if you had to look at that all day?" said neighbor Anne Wescott. The Sauves said they're not finished with the paint job and plan to put large stars on the upper part of the house.
