Trial Delayed For Man Accused Of Forcing Women Into Prostitution

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. -- A man accused of forcing women into prostitution was scheduled to go on trial Wednesday morning, but the trial was continued unti September 16.Aaron George was on the run after he was mistakenly released from the Orange County jail in March. The Metropolitan Bureau of Investigation told Channel 9 that he forced numerous women into prostitution, including an 18-year-old teenager who was interviewed in March. The teen said she was working as a call girl on Craigslist.In an undercover video obtained by Channel 9 from a sting last year, agents talked to a woman who was six months pregnant. Investigators believe she was working as a prostitute for Aaron George.Police arrested George in March, but the Orange County jail mistakenly released him on bond and he escaped to California. It took months for police to catch up to him. Officers caught him after four high-speed chases through the streets of San Diego.George will go on trial for sex trafficking and forcing women into prostitution. Prosecutors believe they still have a strong case against him.
