State Licenses Launch Complex At Cape Canaveral Air Force Station

CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. -- The state is licensing a launch complex at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station that will eventually be part of a larger plan to develop a commercial launch zone.The state and the Air Force are working together to rebuild Launch Complex 36. Small and medium size rockets will be launched from there.The new complex would complement a proposed commercial launch site for larger rockets at Kennedy Space Center.Earlier this year, lawmakers gave leaders a $14.5 million appropriation for the preliminary design and site preparation.
