The shark bite capital of the world is living up to its reputation this summer.

After this weekend, Volusia County was even with last year's total of 17 shark bites.

On Sunday, a New Smyrna Beach man was bitten on his foot while surfing. The 20-year-old was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
