Brazilian Airline To Begin Flying To Orlando International Airport

Thursday, August 28, 2008

Starting in November, tourists from Brazil will arrive daily at Orlando International Airport.

It took local officials 11 years to convince Brazil's Tam Airlines to fly to OIA. The expected boost in tourism comes at a time when the Convention and Tourism Bureau is working with a smaller budget.

Last year, the Bureau's advertising budget was $34 million. In 2009, it will be just under $20 million.
