Apopka Man Stabbed To Death

A man was stabbed to death at an Apopka Checkers Saturday evening.

According to Officials, Roberto Diaz was walking along Main Street when he was approached by 21-year-old Martez Huntley. Huntley showed him a knife and said he was going to kill him.

Diaz ran across the street seeking help from a Checker’s security guard, who called Apopka Police. Moments later an officer in the area arrived on scene to see Huntley stabbing another man.

When the officer drew his gun, Huntley dropped the knife and was then arrested.

The stabbing victim was transported to ORMC where he was pronounced dead. He has been identified as 46-year-old Benito Diaz Diaz.
