PORT ORANGE, Fla. -- Police shut down a large part of the Port Orange City Center on Monday. They evacuated the entire building because of a threat that someone sent to Congressman Tom Feeney’s office in the complex. The envelope contained a threatening letter and suspicious powder. Everyone was evacuated except for the four people in the office, where the envelope was opened.“They stayed calm. They knew not to touch anything anymore. They called us and then we got them out of their clothes and got them into gowns,” said Tom Weber, the Port Orange Fire Chief. The powder was tested and turned out to be flour. Now the FBI has been called into to help track down the sender. This whole ordeal cost the city $10,000.
