WOMAN TAKES TRASH
Images | Watch Interview George Anthony wheeled out his trash to the road Tuesday morning as he has done in the past. He placed boxes and three black garbage bags at the end of his driveway to be picked up."The curiosity," Lorraine told Eyewitness News, explaining what tempted her to drive to the Anthony's Hopespring Drive home and take a bag of trash. She wanted to do her own Casey Anthony investigation."If she's on the computer 24 hours a day, maybe she printed stuff, maybe they thought it wasn't shredded. So that was just my theory," she said.Lorraine hauled the bag away to her SUV and then drove the garbage to her neighborhood just a few miles away. Eyewitness News was there as she rummaged through the Anthony's trash bag with yellow gloves on. She spread the trash across her driveway and found what looked to be a handwritten note from Casey to her father."This one says, 'Dad please call OCSD so we have security for the prayer tonight,'" Lorraine read. Also found was a tattered hat, a media request for an interview and piles of letters from people around the country."I think this might lead to clues as to where she is," Lorraine said as she went through the trash Tuesday morning. As for what happened to Caylee, Lorraine has her own idea."Zanny the nanny, it really was Xanax. She drugged the baby so she could go out and party, over-drugged the baby and died," Lorraine said.Lorraine spent close to an hour rummaging through the trash, the letters, notes and email correspondence. She told Eyewitness News she didn't find anything incriminating enough to send to authorities and added that she wishes she would have taken the other trash bags to see what was in those. The Orange County Sheriff's Office told Eyewitness News that taking trash from the curb side is legal; it's on public property. The Anthony spokesperson told Eyewitness News people should put their energy into searching for Caylee rather than picking garbage.
CASEY LEAVES HOUSE AGAIN DESPITE CONFINEMENTCasey Anthony left her home Tuesday for a meeting with her attorney, Jose Baez. This comes one day after she left her home to visit her home confinement case manager.Little Caylee Anthony was reported missing 56 days ago. Eyewitness News learned Monday that that Cindy Anthony was planning to force Casey out of the family home after Casey's stealing from the family took on a whole new level, but she was worried that Casey would take Caylee with her and that's exactly what happened and now Caylee's believed to be dead."Casey, why don't you care about Caylee? Why won't you say where your little girl is?" Eyewitness News reporter Kathi Belich asked Casey as she walked into the jail administration building with her brother Lee early Monday afternoon. As soon as the brother and sister got through the path between reporters, they high-fived each other as if they were celebrating some sort of victory. According to the Orange County Corrections Department, Casey met with her home confinement case manager Monday afternoon for approximately 20 minutes. During the meeting, her case manager set her out-of-the-home schedule for the remainder of the week."Casey how long are you going to put your family through this? Why won't you help find the little girl, Casey?" Belich asked as Casey quickly left the building and jumped into a waiting car.Officials also said Casey scheduled a meeting with her attorney every day this week. She can leave at 10:00am and must be home by 4:00pm. There is no schedule for her to be out-of-the-home over the weekend.
PROTESTERS REMAIN OUTSIDE ANTHONY HOMEIt was fairly quiet outside the Anthony's home Monday evening, with the exception of two protesters. Nancy Jones, from Orlando, and her friend Dixie Shelton protested in front of the home Tuesday evening. Both held angel-shapped signs that read "Angel Killer.""I just want to slap her and the parents in the face. She killed an innocent angel baby just so she could be a party girl," Jones said. All neighbors could do was stand, watch and wonder what will happen next."For the mother to not even come out in the front yard to come to a candle light vigil or even open the window to hold a candle and say, 'Please find my baby.' It's unforgivable," Shelton said.
CASEY HAD FIGHT WITH PARENTS IN MID-JUNEIt has been 56 days since Caylee disappeared. As far as anyone knows, her mother Casey has not spent even one of those days looking for her.Eyewitness News has learned that an intense fight right before Casey left with Caylee in mid-June was over money that Casey had stolen from her own grandparents, from an account dedicated to paying for assisted living expenses for her grandfather. Tensions had been building over the theft.Eyewitness News also learned Cindy Anthony had gone to a counselor who told her to kick Casey out. Cindy was worried Casey would take Caylee with her, so the counselor told her to try to get legal custody of Caylee. Before that could happen, Casey and Caylee left and Cindy believed Casey kept Caylee out of touch just to punish her. Relatives said Caylee was more attached to her grandmother than she was to her own mother.
