FERN PARK, Fla. -- Seminole County sheriff's deputies are still searching for the man who shot and killed a father of three outside his apartment in Fern Park.

Investigators say an unidentified man who knew 31-year old Rubin Rodriguez by name showed up at his apartment Thursday afternoon. They say he told Rodriguez's wife he wanted to pick up some equipment.

After the man left with the property, witnesses heard gunshots and that's when Rodriguez's wife found him lying on the sidewalk.

"He had blood coming out of his mouth and nose," said a neighbor who did not want to be identified. "I did go up and I saw the bullet hole in his side."

Deputies put up a perimeter and searched for the shooter but did not find him.
