VIDEO REPORT: SUV Crashes Into Pool, Two Found Dead Inside
The medical examiner's office was on the scene, but it's almost impossible to tell what went wrong. There were no skid marks and not a bush out of place; it appears the SUV just went straight into the pool.Early Friday evening, the victims were identified as 67-year-old Rafael Cabrera, who was driving, and 87-year-old Adela Espositio, Cabrera's mother-in-law. According to investigators, they were visiting a relative's home and Cabrera does have undisclosed pre-existing medical conditions that may have contributed to the fatal accident."[The homeowner] noticed their statue was not standing by the screen. When she went to check, she noticed there was a car in the pool," explained Sgt. Keith Ralston, Winter Garden Police Department. While it appears to be a freak accident, but both traffic and homicide detectives came to investigate just in case."We're all like, 'Who is it?' We pretty much know everybody in this neighborhood. It's going to be sad regardless for anybody," said neighbor Linda Gonzalez.Detectives are hoping to talk to anyone who was in the neighborhood around 1:00pm to determine if they may have seen some part of the accident.
