ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. -- Investigators are blaming wet roads for a deadly crash on the Beachline. One woman died in the crash near Christmas Tuesday morning and the woman's 6-year-old girl was rescued by a firefighter. The deadly car crash happened just after 8:00am on SR-528 in Orange County. Troopers said the driver of the Hyundai sedan, Rosa Ruivo of Orlando, lost control, hit the center median and spun off the road into a tree."It was raining. The road was wet when we arrived on the scene. So I'm sure it was raining when she came off the roadway. When you come back on, it's easy to overcorrect," Eddie Herrell, FHP.Ruivo died on impact. Her six-year-old daughter was in the backseat. Troopers told Eyewitness News her foot was trapped and a firefighter helped pull her to safety."She was handling it very well for a little young lady. She was talking to paramedics and firemen. She was responding appropriately. Probably handling it better than some adults would," Herrell said. The little girl was taken to Arnold Palmer Hospital in stable condition. Troopers said the mother was taking her child to school. As a result of the crash, traffic was merged into one lane while troopers and medical examiners did their investigation.
