Developer Hopes To Save Project By Trading With City

ORLANDO, Fla. -- A developer will ask the Orlando City Commission to approve a land swap deal in downtown.Eola Capital wants to flip its property on Washington Avenue, east of Lake Eola with an existing city-owned park at Eola Street and Central Boulevard. (see map)In April, the community was outraged over a planned office tower by the lake which forced the company to look for another solution.
