VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. -- The Ohio husband and wife hit by a jumping dolphin in Volusia County were both out of the hospital and recovering Friday evening.

The 9-foot dolphin hit Norman and Barbara Howard while they were riding in a boat near New Smyrna Beach on Thursday. Neither broke any bones, but the couple's daughter said both had quite a few bruises.It was the first time any agency in Volusia County had ever heard of a dolphin landing in a boat.
