Investigators Hope Unusual Tattoo, Composite Sketch Help Catch Rapist

Wednesday, October 15, 2008

Detectives are hoping an unusual tattoo will lead them to a man who raped a young mother with her two children nearby.

AT THE SCENE: Images At Crime Scene In Orange County

A composite sketch was released Tuesday of the man who used a gun to force the 28-year-old mother back inside her house near Orange Blossom Trail (see map). She had just stepped out to take her two children to school.

The suspect locked the kids in a bedroom, then raped and robbed the woman.

The suspect has a tattoo of a name scrolled across his upper chest. The name has vines running through it and birds or butterflies around it. Deputies think it could be a memorial.
