One man was killed and another man seriously wounded after a home invasion Friday night in the Lake County community of Mascotte.

Police said just before 10pm, two suspects entered a home on Anderson Street and shot the two men inside.

The victims were reportedly roommates.

A spokesman for the Mascotte Police Department said that when officers arrived at the home, they found a violent scene where one man was laying on the floor and the other man was sitting in a chair. Both had gunshot wounds.

The victims were taken to South Lake Hospital, where one of them died.

Police said the suspects were a man and a woman. The names of the victims were not released.
