PUTNAM COUNTY, Fla. -- Monday was the last major search for a missing Florida girl. Deputies from Putnam County said they're scaling back their search efforts for Haleigh Cummings. It's the news her father did not want to hear. The sheriff's office said the search isn't over, but it's changing how it searches for the little girl. Five-year-old Haleigh disappeared from her home in Satsuma on Tuesday. Detectives say she was kidnapped and they're re-interviewing her family members using polygraph tests.FEB. 16 PRESS CONFERENCE: Watch Raw Video IMAGES: Search Efforts, Haleigh Vigil PRESS CONF. Ronald Cummings has now not seen 5-year-old Haleigh for an entire week."No, I'm not giving up on my daughter. Never! Never!" The Texas-based EquuSearch team, which spent months looking for 2-year-old Caylee Anthony last year in the Orlando area, is leaving Putnam County after just four days."It's heartbreaking for us, but we know what we've done. We've talked with law enforcement. They've told us this time, it's best for us to scale back, let them do their investigation," EquuSearch's Tim Miller said.At its height last Friday and Saturday, the search for Haleigh included 130 deputies from several counties and more than 200 volunteers organized by EquuSearch. Monday morning, a group of just 61 officers conducted the sheriff's office final ground search more than five miles south of the home where Haleigh was last seen."We've been in contact with the family. We've not abandoned this search," Putnam County Sheriff Jeff Hardy said Monday afternoon. The sheriff's office said it will mobilize again if strong tips come in. They've gotten more than 500 so far.Ronald Cummings can't understand why the army of volunteers trying to find his daughter was sent home."I know there are areas that have been untouched," he said. And there's disagreement over why the volunteers are leaving. EquuSearch claims the sheriff's office asked them to go, but Sheriff Hardy said he said no such thing.
