Army To Destroy Old Bombs From Range

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. -- The Army Corps of Engineers will blow up more old bombs on Thursday at the former Pine Castle Jeep Range.The army will destroy two, 20-pound fragmentation bombs and five M-50 bomblets. The old munitions were recently recovered at the East Orlando site.The bombs were found nearly 2,000 feet away from any homes.Friday night, Congressman Alan Grayson will organize a meeting with residents who want to know more about the situation.They can also weigh in on how they feel about the cleanup effort.The meeting is scheduled to take place Friday night at 7:30pm at Vista Lakes Elementary school.
