A woman who contracted flesh-eating bacteria at a Seminole County hospital has settled her lawsuit. Claudia Mejia Edwards went to South Seminole Hospital in Longwood back in 2005 to give birth to her son.

Edwards said after she gave birth to her son Matthew, she was kept in the hospital because she contracted flesh-eating bacteria. Twelve days after giving birth at South Seminole Hospital she was transported to Orlando Regional Medical Center where she had to have her legs and arms amputated.

"I woke up from surgery and I had no arms and no legs," she said.

Their attorney said Orlando Health agreed to pay Edwards an undisclosed amount of money.
