ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. -- Casey Anthony's former best friend spoke for the first time about conversations she had with her after Casey's first arrest. Annie Downing testified under oath Thursday in the civil case against Casey Anthony.DOWNING DEPOSITION: Part 1 | Part 2 | Images VIDEO REPORT: Ex-Best Friend Speaks Out At DepoDowning said Casey almost confided in her about Caylee's disappearance after Casey got of jail the first time last year."She would start saying something and I would back out of it, I really didn't want to know. I didn't want to be that person that knew everything," Downing said.Downing was answering questions at an hour-long deposition in the defamation lawsuit against Casey Anthony brought by Zenaida Gonzalez.Gonzalez has the same name as the mysterious baby sitter who Casey claimed kidnapped Caylee. It's believed Casey got Zenaida's name from the Sawgrass Apartments where several of her friends, including Downing lived for some time.Downing says she has never heard of Zenaida or "Zanny the Nanny," but she believes Caylee did have a nanny. Downing says she just doesn't know the identity of that person.According to Downing, she spent hours talking to Casey while she was out of jail."She did say whoever had her child they were telling her to say everything that she said," Downing stated.Downing also says almost a year before Caylee disappeared, Casey and her mother Cindy Anthony had been fighting over the little girl."She said, 'I feel like I'm having a breakdown, I feel like I'm losing it, I need to get away,' she said she wanted to go to an institution," said Downing. At one point last year, Casey said in an internet conversation, that she could score some Xanax from Annie Downing to go out and party.Downing wanted to set the record straight and say that was a lie and she was never involved in drugs. CASEY ANTHONY'S ATTORNEY TO QUESTION DEPUTY AGAINCasey Anthony's defense team is calling back a witness for a second round of questioning. Jose Baez will question Orange County Deputy Adriana Acevedo again next month, even though he already took her deposition last week.Deputy Acevedo first responded to the scene where Caylee's remains were eventually found when meter reader Roy Kronk originally called 911 to report seeing something suspicious in August. She went there again, two days later, with Kronk and another deputy.Acevedo's deposition is scheduled for June 8. HEARING TO TRY TO FORCE ANSWERSGeorge and Cindy Anthony will be back in the hot seat on May 21 in the civil case against Casey. Lawyers for Zenaida Gonzalez will try to convince a judge to force Casey, her parents, and her brother to answer the questions they refused to answer during the deposition.Attorneys will also depose one of Casey's friends.Gonzalez is suing Casey because she claimed a woman with the same name kidnapped Caylee. WHAT'S NEXT?On May 28, Jose Baez will be back in court trying to get a jail videotape thrown out. The tape supposedly shows Casey's reaction as she watched the discovery of Caylee's remains play out on Channel 9.
