Gas Leak Closed U.S. 1 In Brevard County

Eyewitness News was on the scene of a gas leak in Brevard County.

Part of U.S. Highway 1 had to be shut down when several people who live in Port St. John smelled gas and called 911.

One of the gas lines that feeds the nearby Florida Power and Light plant failed.

No one was hurt and nobody needed to be evacuated. U.S. Highway 1 was reopened later Friday morning.
