Tree Trimmer Survives Close Call With Power Line

ROCKLEDGE, Fla. -- It was a close call Monday for a tree trimmer in Rockledge when a limb came crashing down on a power line.Rescue workers found the man still up the tree at a home on Bellaire Lane (see map). Amazingly, he was not hurt.Tthe man had been trimming the tree when one of the branches fell onto the lines. Firefighters say he was very lucky."His tree spikes were in the tree, which were in contact with the power lines," explained Bat. Chief Earl Sisco, Rockledge Fire Department.Rescue crews had to wait for the power company to shut off the electricity before the man could climb down. He refused any medical care.
