Alligators, Crocodile Spotted Along Beaches

For the third time in one week, alligators and a crocodile have made their presence known on Brevard County beaches.

Alligator tracks were spotted in the sand on Cocoa Beach Wednesday and over the weekend a crocodile was in the water swimming.

An alligator also made an appearance in the water on Satellite Beach.

Alligators typically shy away from salt water. While crocodiles, which thrive in saltwater, are normally farther south of Brevard
