Coast Guard Rescues 6 Stranded Boaters

Volusia County -- The United States Coast Guard rescued six people off the Volusia County coast Saturday.

The victims' boat lost all power and radio communication at about 1:30 p.m. about 20 miles off New Smyrna Beach.

An emergency beacon alerted authorities. The six people on board say they were out for a day of fishing when the boat suddenly stopped working.

They tried to take it all in stride.
