Posted: 7:51 am EDT July 8, 2009Updated: 1:07 pm EDT July 8, 2009

An American flag is flying upside down outside an Orlando home as one man protests against the City of Orlando.

John Hoffman has the flag outside his home near Lake Como along with a large sign. The sign says he will fly the flag properly if the city acknowledges what he calls the injury it inflicted on him.

The Vietnam veteran claims police officers brought on his post-traumatic stress disorder when they arrested him two years ago. Now, Hoffman is demanding money.

"I use the word acknowledge instead of compensate, but compensate is correct," said Hoffman. I'm looking for money, yeah."

Hoffman is no stranger to Orlando police. Officers responded to his house 12 times last year and have responded three times already this year.
