DNA evidence helped Orange County detectives solve a year-old rape case.

On Wednesday, detectives arrested Anthony Hendley after DNA evidence tied him to a violent attack in February of 2008.

Deputies say Hendley attacked a woman who was walking on the side of a road, and used a knife to force her into a vacant home where he sexually assaulted her.

The woman survived the attack.
