ORLANDO, Fla. -- Orlando police released a composite sketch of the man who tried to abduct three young sisters as they walked home from Eagle's Nest Elementary School near the MetroWest area Wednesday afternoon.Police say the girls described the man as a heavy-set black man in his 30s. They say he is bald and has a silver tooth. The girls say he was wearing a white tank top and jeans. The suspect was last seen driving a black, four door Toyota which has a green, purple, and yellow beaded necklace hanging over the rearview mirror. There was heavy police presence Thursday at Eagle's Nest Elementary School on MetroWest Boulevard as the children left for the day.The mother of the three little girls, who escaped the clutches of a would-be kidnapper, picked them up at school instead of at a nearby gas station. She says her car overheats when she has to idle in line at the school and Wednesday, she had car trouble which kept her from picking up the girls on time.Parents of other students are concerned."I just hope they find whoever was trying to do it so they can keep those kids safe," parent Rodricus Lewis said. The girls, ages 9, 8, and 5 had been waiting at the Hess gas station on South Kirkman Road for their mother to pick them up after school as they do every day. When the girls' mom did not show up at the Hess gas station, they started to walk home. They say a man pulled up near the Sterling Crest apartments and told them their mother had sent him to pick them up.The oldest daughter told him that wasn't true and ran with her other sisters. After the girls ran, the oldest had the presence of mind to hide in a nearby building. Until she knew they were safe and then running back to the Hess station.Their mother was still dealing with her broken down car, so they were smart enough to go back to the school and tell the principal what happened.Wednesday evening the principal put out a warning to parents, saying "Please take the time to remind your children that they should never go with somebody they do not know."Eagle's Nest Elementary School and the police are praising the nine-year-old girl for her quick thinking, which probably spared her and her sisters from a bad situation."We've had cases before where small children react better than adults, and they did a great job," said Barbara Jones, Orlando Police Department.
