Two More Suspicious Wildfires In Brevard Co.

Posted: 12:31 pm EST November 9, 2009Updated: 12:32 pm EST November 9, 2009

Fire officials in Brevard County are trying to figure out what sparked two suspicious wildfires in Palm Bay.

One fire started Sunday near Malabar Road and I-95. It burned about 10 acres. Another fire burned one acre near the Melbourne Tillman Canal.

They are just two of several suspicious fires in Brevard County over the past few months, including one last month that burned in the woods off State Road 524 near Cocoa.

So far, none of the fires have threatened homes, but officials say it wouldn't take much for a fire to get out of control.
