VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. -- Police in New Smyrna Beach broke into an apartment Monday morning to rescue two boys with severe burns. A 4:00am 911 call led police to the apartment on 10th Street.A 10-year-old boy said he and his 7-year-old brother were cooking hot dogs when the scalding water turned over on them.Both boys are at Arnold Palmer Medical Center. Their mother was taken from the scene, police said, for an unrelated medical condition.
