Student Arrested For Bomb Threats At UCF

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. -- Police arrested a University of Central Florida student and shut down two campus parking garages Tuesday night because of a bomb threat.UCF police say 31-year-old Cory Carr threatened to blow the school up and kill people Tuesday around 4:30 in the afternoon. As soon as he made the threats, students called 911.When Carr left Classroom Building 1, officers arrested him and evacuated the building. An hour later, students were allowed back inside.But the commotion started back up again around 6:45pm, when an police dog positively sniffed something on Carr's vehicle.UCF police called in the Orange County Sheriff's Office Bomb Squad, and parking garages A and H were evacuated.Bomb squad techinicians blasted the car with a water cannon, and detectives are working to find out what was inside.Police tell Eyewitness News Carr does have a criminal record.
