Fatal Crash Closed Busy Seminole County Road

SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. -- A busy Seminole County road had to be closed for several hours Wednesday night after a fatal crash shut it down.Investigators say a green Mazda was pulling out of the McDonald's restaurant on Mitchell Hammock Road in Oviedo when an SUV smashed into the car’s side.

The driver of the Mazda was transported to a nearby hospital where he died. The passenger was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center. As of Thursday morning there was no word on her condition.The driver and passengers in the SUV were not injured.
