ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. -- The teacher accused of threatening students, colleagues and the superintendent remains in the Orange County jail Thursday morning.Eyewitness News first reported when West Orange High School science teacher Jerrold Gabriel was arrested after he was accused of making threats to students and colleagues. The State Attorney later dropped those charges due to lack of concrete evidence.Gabriel was arrested again a few days later after returning to the school's campus, which was a violation of a domestic violence injunction involving his ex-wife.Now Eyewitness News has obtained recordings of a series of bizarre, threatening phone calls he made to his ex-wife."You can't find me now because I'm hiding. I set this up a long time ago. I'm nowhere to be found. I don't even know myself where I am," said Gabriel in one of the messages.Gabriel left his ex-wife 29 messages over a three week period following his removal from the school."Sometime tomorrow afternoon or Tuesday I'm going to set in motion the end game for our little play. It's not going to come out good for you," said Gabriel in another message. He never directly threatens to harm anyone in any of the messages, but he does allude to it. For the most part, the messages involved threats to expose his ex-wife's secrets and he asks to see their son. However, sometimes the subject matter borders on the bizarre."Barack Obama is my new buddy," said Gabriel. He also talks about a billion dollar scheme to sell the muck beneath Lake Apopka, and also claims to be the smartest man in the world.Winter Garden police have investigated allegations that Gabriel made threats against other teachers, but at this point they say those threats are unfounded.Gabriel remains in the Orange County jail awaiting his next bond hearing.
