First Palm Bay Red Light Camera Activated

Posted: 8:32 am EST November 19, 2009

Drivers in Palm Bay should be aware of a new red light camera that is up and running Thursday morning.

City officials have installed a red light camera at the intersection of Malabar Road and Emerson Drive and it went online Wednesday.

For the next 90 days drivers photographed running the light will only get a warning. After that, the fine is $125.00.

Cameras at two other test sites in Palm Bay have not yet been activated.
