Eyewitness News learned a former candidate for the Orlando City Commission was re-arrested Thursday on more drug charges. Ezell Harris was first arrested last Thursday for allegedly selling Hydrocodone out of his home and his business.The Metropolitan Bureau of Investigation held a news conference at its headquarters. The director says when Ezell Harris was arrested last week for trafficking Hydrocone, that one charge was only the tip of the iceberg.RAW VIDEO: Ezell Harris Faces Judge READ REPORT: Harris' Arrest AffidavitMBI Director Philip Williams says Harris was also selling Oxycodone, methadone and Xanax, all highly addictive drugs that can only be prescribed by a doctor.Agents first arrested Harris last week because they wanted to make sure he was in jail while they executed search warrants at his Orlando home and travel business. MBI says it found more than 1,200 prescription pills, guns, jewelry and cash.Harris suspended his run for an Orlando City Commission seat in District 5 on Saturday.He told Eyewitness News last week he's not a drug dealer. MBI says that statement not true. Harris has been booked into the Orange County jail on a $1.4 million bond.The investigation will continue because MBI agents believe some local doctors gave Harris those pills possibly knowing he was up to illegal activity.
