ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. -- A man in Orange County was hit and killed as he was walking along Sunflower Trail near Avalon Park Boulevard Thursday night.

Troopers say 48-year-old William Rosado Guzman died when he was struck by a van. People at the scene ran out of their homes to try to help him.

Deputies arrived and rushed him to Florida Hospital East where he later died.

Troopers are investigating the crash.
