Drive-By Shooting Leads To Crash In Downtown Orlando

ORLANDO, Fla. -- Orlando police are looking for suspects in a drive-by shooting near downtown. Just before 11:00 Friday night, police saw a red car speeding through the crowded downtown streets and crash into a tree on Central Avenue near Orange Avenue.The driver had been shot in a drive-by shooting just west of I-4. He changed seats with the passenger and the passenger was trying to rush the victim to the hospital when he crashed.The suspects drove away in a black Chrysler Sebring.The victim was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center where he is expected to recover. The passenger was taken to police headquarters for questioning, but, at this point, police don’t know the motive for the shooting.
