ORLANDO, Fla. -- Orange County deputies are still looking for the gunman who shot a man in front of a crowd at a busy Shell gas station. More than 100 people were at the business when the shots were fired at the gas station on the corner of John Young Parkway and Amelia Street (see map) .The shooting victim, 25-year-old Kenneth Dean Stone was shot in the chest at the crowded Shell station.ON THE SCENE: Shooting At Busy Gas Station"We do not have much of a suspect description at this time. We still trying to sort that out," said Lt. Vincent Van Ness, Orange County Sheriff's OfficeIt happened Sunday night at around 10:00pm in front of a large crowd. They had been attending a car show at the Central Florida Fairgrounds and deputies say they came to the gas station to hang out."I don't know if I'd characterize it as a party or a large get-together, but there were probably in excess of a hundred people in the parking lot," said Van NessEyewitnesses say that, as soon as shots rang out, everyone ran. Deputies were still able to get a few statements and said it was lucky more people weren't hurt."It had the potential to be very dangerous. Obviously, you have a lot of people standing out here. The gunfire and then everybody trying to leave the parking lot at the same time is also dangerous," said Van NessA family member of Stone told Eyewitness News that he had pulled into the gas station after driving up and down Highway 50 celebrating the Florida Classic football game.Stone’s girlfriend told deputies that two black males driving a silver or gold Altima, drove up to them, got out of the vehicle and shot Stone multiple times. Stone was transported to the Orlando Regional Medical Center and is in critical condition.Investigators say the motive for the shooting is unknown at this time.Deputies say it is not the first time they have responded to a shooting at that Shell station. The station has hired a private security firm.
