OVIEDO, Fla. -- The fire marshal is investigating a fire that destroyed an Oviedo home.

Fire crews got to the home on James Drive (see map) just after 1:00am Tuesday. Fire officials believe the fire was burning for a while before someone called 911.

A neighbor said it was the biggest fire he's ever seen.

"The flames was high. They was all up in those trees over there. It was all in the back of the house. I just seen a bunch of flames, that's all I’ve seen,” eyewitness Amos Garrett said. “Never seen a fire like that before.”

Fire officials said there was no one inside when the fire started. They don't think the fire is suspicious.
