NASA Satellite Suddenly Stops Working

KENNEDY SPACE CENTER, Fla. -- A NASA satellite that's helped weather forecasters measure winds inside hurricanes for the last ten years has stopped working.Scientists say bearings for an antenna inside the QuickScat satellite failed, earlier this week.The satellite helps forecasters gauge the location, size and strength of hurricanes while in the open ocean.It was launched into orbit in 1999.
