A driver is in the hospital Monday after he crashed into three cars outside an Orange County home.

Troopers say the driver also crashed into a mailbox, a light pole and a palm tree in the Quail Trail neighborhood off Goldenrod Road and Pershing Avenue Sunday night.

The van barely missed crashing into the front porch of a home. Witnesses say when the driver got out of the van he collapsed and fell to the ground.

Fran Martinez was visiting her mother and says that part of the road is dangerous.

"This road is terrible because traffic is crazy and people are always zooming back and forth," said Martinez.

Martinez also told Eyewitness News the driver lives in the neighborhood and she could smell alcohol on his breath. Troopers say the man is on life support at an area hospital.
