TITUSVILLE, Fla. -- Titusville police are looking for the person who they say fired shots at an officer Friday night.

Investigators say a police officer heard people in two separate cars firing shots at each other in a wooded area near Elizabeth Avenue.

When the officer went to investigate, he says at least one bullet nearly hit him.

Police say they are not sure why the shots were being fired, or if anyone was hit.
