Pilot's Funeral Procession Impacts I-4 Traffic

A funeral procession traveled down I-4 in honor the passing of a longtime helicopter pilot for the Orange County Sheriff's Office.

Pilot Craig Heber died last Wednesday at Florida Hospital. He was a 22-year veteran of the sheriff's office. Heber was 48 years old.

He was laid to rest Thursday after funeral services at First Baptist Church of Orlando.

The long procession of law enforcement vehicles moved along I-4 around 8:30am. The scheduled route took the procession along State Road 434, then traveled along I-4 westbound to John Young Parkway.
